The International Zarcillo Prices awards its Grand Gold Medal to the White Wine Cuatro Rayas Sauvignon 2008. D.O. Rueda

Amador Díez de Iscar, President of Cuatro Rayas received the award in the Show of Delivery of prizes celebrated in the Monastery of Santa Maria de Balbuena in San Bernardo (Valladolid-Spain), last April , 3 rd. Likewise Bodega Cuatro Rayas was rewarded silver medal for its wine: CUATRO RAYAS Verdejo Fermented in Cask 2007 The prestigious Bodega Cuatro Rayas - Agrícola Castellana, in apellation D.O. Rueda, has returned to repeat his fantastic record of International Prizes, with the maximum exponent of the Contests that are celebrated worldwide: Zarcillo Prices. This Contest is supported by OIV (International Office of the Wine) and by the U.I.O.E (Enologists’ International Union)

Cuatro Rayas, with more than 75 years of experience has turned into the authentic flagship of the white Spanish wine worldwide. It is present in 48 countries in five Continents and is the leading winery in sales of the Denomination of Origin Rueda Angel Calleja, his enologist, has demonstrated a spectacular background in the last years, with recognitions of his wines. Only a few weeks ago the most prestigious wine prescriptor in the World, Robert Parker, granted the highest punctuation of all the wines D.O. Rueda,harvests 2008 to the wine Azumbre Verdejo obtained of centenary vineyards. Cuatro Rayas Verdejo it was named likewise by the Tasters’ Spanish Union (U.E.C), one of 100 better wines of Spain in the year 2008.
