The collaboration between the "La Caixa" Social Welfare Project and Cuatro Rayas Winery seeks to create a solid alliance with the area‘s entrepreneurial network to encourage the integration of vulnerable groups into the workforce.
La Seca (Valladolid), July 12, 2011. - Cuatro Rayas Winery has signed an agreement to collaborate with the Incorpora program, set up by the "La Caixa" Foundation, whose objective is to support initiatives leading to the sociolaboral integration of persons for whom obtaining employment is particularly difficult.
The signing was presided by Vicente Orihuela, Cuatro Rayas‘s Managing Director, Jaume Ferre, Assistant Director of the Social Integration Department of the "La Caixa" Foundation, and Jesus Corrales, President of the Feafes-El Puente Association, representing the Incorpora Group.
The agreement has as its objective to promote, by political and concrete actions, a greater integration of those populations with the most obstacles to joining the workforce, such as the disabled, the chronically unemployed, or victims of domestic violence.
Cuatro Rayas‘s commitment to corporate social responsibility programs, along with the clear support shown by the "La Caixa" Foundation and its Incorpora Project for such a social compact, were decisive factors in this alliance.
According to Jaume Ferre, "our gratefulness to the Cuatro Rayas Winery is wholehearted, moreover, I‘ve had the opportunity to read its historical memoir RSE and I‘m pleased to know that we share the same entrepreneurial mission: Maintain and improve the wellbeing of our members and employees, facilitating employment for future generations. This is also our vision, particularly toward the most vulnerable persons". For his part, Vicente Orihuela emphasized the significance of the Winery‘s position on social responsibility, "always within the principal objective of a company, which is to generate returns for the members and the workers". In that vein, Mr. Orihuela highlighted that Cuatro Rayas‘s sales will outpace those of the sector, "which likely projects the need to increase staffing, for which we will shortly count on the Incopora Foundation".
This program is one of the new social welfare projects supported by the "la Caixa" Foundation, with a goal of labor intermediation based on the needs of the social and business networks. This approach guarantees the candidate‘s successful integration into the company.
From January to June of this year, the Incorpora program of the "la Caixa" Social Welfare Project has already facilitated employment for 106 persons at risk of social exclusion in Valladolid thanks to the network of social welfare organizations affiliated with the project and the collaboration of 41 local companies (3,000 persons since its inception in Castilla and Leon).
