The Berliner Wein Trophy rewards again the quality of the Cuatro Rayas Winery’s wines in its summer editionLa Seca (Valladolid), 16 August 2017
Cuatro Rayas Winery got a total of five medals in the summer edition of the Berliner Wein Trophy, Germany’s largest and most important international wine tasting sponsored by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine. Cuatro Rayas Viñedos Centenarios, Visigodo Sauvignon, Visigodo Rueda and 4R Sauvignon have been awarded gold medals, and Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias has been awarded a silver one. These prizes reaffirm the quality of the wines produced in the winery. Cuatro Rayas Viñedos Centenarios
is a high-end wine produced with grapes from vineyards with more than one hundred years, aged on lees, using the most traditional harvesting and winemaking methods, providing its elegance and balance. Visigodo Sauvignon
and 4R Sauvignon
come from between 15 and 20-year-old French Sauvignon Blanc varietal vineyards, planted on alluvial soils of the Designation of Origin Rueda. They are unctuous and balanced with passion fruit, and pineapple hints and production is quite limited. About Berliner Wein Trophy
Since its premiere in 2004, the Berliner Wein Trophy has grown to become Germany’s, and also, one of the World’s largest and most important international wine tasting, as only 30% of the product submitted could be awarded with a medal. Currently, it is the most relevant competition sponsored by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and the Union Internationale des Œnologues (UIOE). Thus, it is considered worldwide as one of the most influential in the wine sector.
